My voice journey started when I was quite young and learning to talk, and it quickly blossomed in schooling through elementary, middle and high school choirs as well as karaoke, musical theater as an adult and eventually pedagogy and voice science study.I have been studying with Justin Stoney of New York Vocal Coaching, Andy King, and distortion expert Nicolás Hormazábal. I earned my voice teacher certification with New York Vocal Coaching and a distortion certification as well. I have also assisted in children's musical theater, children's drama and improvisation and am continuing to teach in these subjects.

 

My approach to teaching is to serve and let my students tell me what they want to work on most, and help them craft the pathway there through practice regimen, encouragement and wild wacky vocal exercise fun! I teach primarily contemporary styles. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my daughter, writing poetry and acting, as well as working on my own singing technique with Justin Stoney and Matt Johnson, my own voice teachers and mentors.
